Is there any advantage to having a riser with double bolts on each limb instead of single. Noticed some bowyers use it.
There may be others, but the only one I'm personally aware of that uses 2 bolts is Bob Lee. Bob Lee makes very fine bows, and I have several of them. There are many other bowyers that also make very fine bows that use only one limb bolt. The facts would seem to indicate that it's a personal preference and not a significant difference.
I have absolutely no idea.
JK Chastain (Wapiti bows) also uses 2 bolts per limb, but I think he also offers a single-bolt per limb model at a lower price point. I think he says on his website that the 2-bolt system provides a more secure limb mount. If I remember correctly, he says that an advantage of the 2-bolt system is that the limbs are less likely to be damaged in the event of a string breaking or being cut by a broadhead.
Palmer Bows utilizes a 2 bolt system.
Not sure of any advantage.
Palmer offers a 2 limb bolts.
I personally prefere the single one since with 2 the advantage of fast taking down is very limited.
Never had a problem with the single system in 30 years of hard use.
I believe Foley uses two bolts per limb too.

You're right. Foley does on his takedown recurve, nut only one bolt on his takedown longbow.
Had both, no difference......... Just one single bolt take down now as I now prefer one piece bows......
