I'll keep the text short , as my video is the review. But the taipan is amazing , and if you get the chance to pick one up, I suggest you jump all over it!!!

Very nice acquisition, nice wood combos as usual for JD. My Taipan build should be coming up soon.
Great bow, Brian! Now you got me thinking about pulling my Taipan bow off the classifieds and keeping it!
If it had a dark riser wood I would have taken it in a flash Dennis.
I gotta give it to that Berry design. It really zips those arrows. His bows were on my list of bows I must have. I'm kinda glad it hasn't sold because I haven't shot it but a few times since I bought it in the fall and this gives me time to keep shooting her. Who know, maybe I'll keep it.
Brian has me really reconsidering my decision. LOL!
Well Dennis, I was seriously wondering about your mental health status when I sawit listed ....
Congratulations, Brian!! Nice acquisition. I really like the look of the Taipans, maybe someday I can get one also.
I do like my new Argos very much. Thanks for your input when I talked with you.

Brian,
And jump I did!! Got lucky and snagged a light weight 68" that looks amazingly similar (colors) to your new bow.
I have always felt that the Tipan has all of the attributes of that elusive "perfect bow". By design, it has great performance built into a sleek look....and I get to shoot this week! :archer:
Nice bow, I wanted to see the group you shot... :)
Tony
You will be very happy that you did!
Roy
I was only at 10 yds. I figure everyone can pack em in tight at ten so nothing to show lol
Hmm, Brian saying something good about bamboo cores. Will this be a trend?
Pat,
A trend it is not. on a custom order, bamboo is never an option. BUT on a used Berry.... I can learn to love its faults. It's not her fault, she was born this way

Those Stewart's are great bows also. And according to your signature it seems you have found a bower who puts out exactly what you are looking for.
For myself, I could have a slammer here, love it , but hardly shoot it cause it's not a berry. So I know where your at brother
NICE bow
Enjoy brother. Now win the darn worlds!!
Enjoy it I will Mike!! And even if I end up last place in the Worlds I'll have a smile on my face from shooting this bow!!
I'm a Stewart...Shrew...Griffin......Berry....longriver...and currently a Hummingbird fan. All great bows...at the same weight, virtually identical velocities across the chrono....I guess our own personal prejudice always coming to play....love those Berry bows...but if we are truthful with ourselves, performance wise they are all very similar......currently in love with the mass weight stability of my hummingbird....enjoyed the video! shoot well...
Jack
You are ABSOLUTLY correct. My friend and OUTSTANDING archer Kurt Stunkle shoots an Alpha male and shoots it lights out!! I love that bow, but like I tell him , it's not a Berry LOL. I Admit to my prejudices... First step to recovery right?
Brian, yeah I think we are all alike on this website.....no recovery necessary...!!!! it is a kind of sickness that more people need..!! nice to see that you took the time to make the video and share it with all of us.......my hummingbird is an older dyna-stick..!! A bowI wish hummingbird still made....51#@28"....good stuff..
I'll google that. Admittedly all I've shot is the alpha male and his recurve.
Congrats on the new bow..its a beauty!
What is your preferred brace height and knocking point height for your Tiapan? Spent part of the day bare shaft tuning mine which is 64" and 50@29 to some new Beman Centershots today.
My Tiapan is currently braced at 7 5/8 and knock is 5/8 up. I shoot three under so surprised only 5/8th up??
I love JD Berry bows for sure. Hummingbird is very different but equally great. I have a recurve and longbow. Ben Graham does not get the recognition his bows deserve.
Thanks for Tiapan info!

Good job Brian, now Kurt is going to get a BIGGER head. To be honest he shoots all his bows lights out. Great review by the way.
