Title: For those of you who use a Safari Tuff Quiver
Post by: Rick Butler on March 14, 2015, 03:00:00 PM
Do you shove your broadheads down into the foam or do they just rest on top of it?

Anything in particular that you carry in the attached pouch, besides maybe a spare bowstring?

I'm currently using the Duiker model, which does not have the pocket. I had the full sized arrowmaster before, but found I did not really need the pocket since I have plenty more of room in my fanny pack.

Usually I carry My license, a knife, a  lighter, some rubber gloves, some marking tape, my personables pouch, a jewel stick and usually a candy bar.

I added about 2" more of closed cell foam in the bottom of mine (got the idea from Rik Hinton).  I carry 4 ribtek-tipped cedars pushed down into the foam and 4 ace hex blunts on cedars.  I cut out a section in the foam to let the blunts sit lower into the quiver than the broadheads.

In the pouch I keep a spare string, stringer, string wax, file, extra tab, coyote call and typically a granola bar.

I have the Arrowmaster and I love it!

I put my armguard, tab, some hand held shears for clipping branches, and some rubber bands in mine. And yes, I push my broadheads down into the foam. If you always use the same holes in the foam, it will last a long time. I just replaced mine (the foam) after two years of broadhead use.

In foam. In pouch and extra string, nock, tab, blunt and a small roll of tp.

Another tid bit for you
I push my BHs  not all the way into the foam but for blunt tipped arrows I took some screw on caps off  a big scent killer bottle ( pop bottle would work too )  drilled a small hole in the center and put a spiral nail through it  or screw. And push it into the foam.
With this my blunts won't dullen what part of the BH is not in the foam and will keep any dirt stick in the blunt out of the foam and just keeps them separated.

Tim

Just "push it", in that is.
