I see on rmsg photo gallery it looks like alot of pics with a spirit, and it sounds as if they are exclusive for selling them new. So they must be some what popular.

John Strunk of Oregon made a Spirit longbow some years back. That one would be one I would be interested in if I ran across one.  I think the ones RMSG carry are by someone else. I'm curious which one this might be.

RMSG sells Brian Holley's Spirit bows out of Granby Colorado.  They are good bows and Brian is a good guy. It all comes down to personal preference.

I think I can chime in here.  If you're looking at a Spirit longbow at the Footed Shaft in Rochester, I can answer any questions about this bow - 48# @ 28".  I sold it to Terry during midwinter only because I like a bow in the lower 40's now.

The bow is one made by Bryan Holley in Colorado and sold through RMSG.  I had this bow and absolutely loved it.  If it had been a few pounds lighter I never would have sold it.

The bow is in great shape and is a pleasure to carry in the woods.  I definitely will have another Spirit longbow - in fact I just came up from the basement after shooting my Spirit recurve (a bow that Bryan no longer makes).

If you decide to buy this bow I think you'll be very happy with it - I know I was!

Yes it is the one at the footed shaft. I called yesterday on it and the wife and I are driving up there this morning. I like to visit his shop it not real big but I get lost in there.

Well I had to bring the bow home with me, it's a sweet shooter. Question for you guys tho, does anybody know if they are fast flight safe.
It has phenolic overlays but it had a dacron string on it and Terry at the footed shaft wasn't sure.
Thanks, Rick

I use an SBD "ultra" on mine with no problems. Love the bow and the string. Good luck with the new bow.

I'm pretty sure they are FF compatible, you can shoot Tommy an email at RMSG and ask. tlc@rmsgear.com

As long as the nocks are reinforced, and the sting groove does not violate the limb glass, any quality string material should be safe. Especially with padded loops. Skinny loops or a poorly constructed string, regardless of material type can be dangerous for any bow.

I called last night and they said that they come new with B50 but are fast flight safe.
Thanks, Rick
