Just over 2 weeks ago, I got my new JD Berry Argos! Sorry, I wanted to post sooner, but I have been out of town quite a bit, lost the camera USB cable, and had to get an art piece ready for a show.
It is beautiful in a simple, sleek, elegant way. Black glass back and belly, with a wenge riser, bloodwood encasements or wedges, with wenge(?) encasements (Maybe James will correct me). I work with wood on the side, and James is a master in many ways, including combining woods into art.
I am new to longbows, but I love this bow. It is so smooth drawing, no hand shock, and very fast (I guess I am repeating what virtually every Berry bow owner says). It shoots better than I do. Being new to longbows, I am not consistent yet, but hope to be soon.
Sorry, I can't seem to get the images to transfer from photobucket. Will try later, got to get back to work.

Guess maybe I got them.

Congrats TS.....the Argos' are a special breed of Berry.
That is a beautiful bow.
Is that the locator grip?
DennyK, yes it is a locator. The handle is 1" wide, 12" long from fadeout to fadeout. ..OE
That is gorgeous! Very nice work, James :clapper:
Thank you JD, I've got your website added to my favorites.
Absolutely stunning ARGOS!!! James at his finest, yet again.
Very nice. James has no equal MHO
It is beautiful!! My pictures do not do it justice, as I am not a photographer.
James, did I get the encasements correct?
I think I am going to name her, "Ele Tigre". I know that is not quite correct in Spanish, but the "Ele" is for her elegance, and "Tigre" is for how deadly she will be when I can shoot her well. She really puts the arrow downrange fast.
She is awesome.
Congrats on your new bow, it is a beauty
:archer:
Clean lines
Thats a beauty!
Very very nice. His bows are definitely something special
That is an absolute beauty! Enjoy the bow, Tom!
Thanks all! I am and will enjoy it Jerry.
I think I know what part of my form is lacking as to why I am shooting inconsistently. Have to work on that and maybe one of the next times I'm up your way, we can shoot some Berry bows. You have nearly the whole model line!
Nice bow. What is the wait time for a JD Berry bow?
James could tell you for sure, of course, but I was about 10 months or so.
Sweet! Man, I love to look at all the bows here. My girlfriend says I look at bow pics like a lot of guys do playboy. :D
