Great call!
In fact it's one of Jared's masterpieces. I have several journeyman bows at this point. im pretty picky and he's been really accommodating. I hired him to make me a bow last year and it turned out amazing, I've yet to show you guys or tell its story. But I was a bit rough on it and I've sent it back to him for re finishing.
Anyway. We stay in touch and he told me about 2 bows that he would be finishing soon the Purple Heart/ tulip wood bow that's on the sponsors classifieds, and this one, which is African Blackwood. Well when they were all finished up and got the first spray I was shocked at how well it looked when it was wet. And suggested he do a glossy finish, which is not standard. He was hesitant but said he would give it a shot...well he did it and said it was coming my way and to give it a shot and see what I thought. Well as you can all see it's gorgeous and I'm kinda scared to use it.
She looks ready for action. That's what they are made for. Enjoy it.
Shoot that bow!!
I love my Journeyman. You'll be hard pressed to find a better shooter or a better bowyer to deal with, Jared's one of the best. That thing's a looker and I'm positive a shooter to boot. What are her specs?
Saw her on his website today while I was looking around and was surprised how good the gloss finish looks. Looks great.
Beauty

Very Nice.

Yup I will! Jared said not to worry it can be polished back up!
Gonna shoot her tomorrow. ,
As far as the specs go. Jared didn't send limbs along with it. But I happen to have 3 sets. And they are all interchangeable so the ones in the picture are my 60" 41@28 olive it's a good match! I have some pieces of seal skin I'm going to put on the shelf.
Dang that sure is purty!! I'll bet it shoots as good as it looks!

gonna meet Mikayla on thursday, shell get to shoot it....I'll have her let you know if it'll work or not!
Really nice.
Thats a beauty!!
Beautiful!
Here is the unshiny version... Jared donated a bow for the St Jude auction last year and I was fortunate to win it. He made my riser out of mostly phenolic and carved elk antlers in it and stippled the grip. Wonderful man to work with and his bows are great shooters.

Nice workmanship.... Those high gloss finishes have a lot of work in them....
Matty, you better bring that bow to the Greeley Archers trad shoot.
Awesome bow. Congrats, and time to wear that finish off.
Beautiful bow ,love the wood combo.
Ken. That's right. This bow was modeled after yours. When Jared did this one I actually thought it was yours and he told me you did phenolic.
Britt. I will bring the bow for sure.
Pat, eve been holding it a lot. The finish is 1/2 gee already! Hahaha.
Thanks for the positive comments. I hope Jared gets to see them. He's at home with the flu!
Super neat design and great workmanship. Jared has always had a great work ethic and application of that shows in these bows. How about a pic of the entire bow. I would love to see it. I sure like those long fades.
God bless, Steve
NICE bow
