Don't knowvanything about the Wright, but the Chinook is never a bad choice.

I can't comment on the Wright but I've owned 2 Chinnoks and still have one.Fantastic bow, workmanship is flawless and Dan Toelke is a great guy to deal with.Very fast build times.

I've never shot the Rodney Wright bow but I owned one of the first Chinooks Dan made and it is a very fine 50's style recurve. It was extremely well mannered like all Toelke bows and very quick, at my 29" draw it chronographed 10 1/2 to 1 arrows at 185 f.p.s.

thnx guys I know the toelkes shoot but I just can't seem to make peace with anything but strait grips nowadays maybe Dan can make the grip happen I had one of the first chinooks he made it was 60" man was it fast and longbow quiet

I would say it is definitely worth having that conversation with Dan. He will make sure you're happy!

He does a classic grip which is closer to straight.  I am sure he would work with you.  PM me if you would like a close up of his classic grip.
