Title: Alluminum arrow size for my 66 Grizzly?
Post by: david janssen on March 02, 2015, 07:56:00 PM
A few weeks ago I purchased a 1966 Grizzly 45#.I only draw 26" and wondered what size alluminum arrow would work best?I would like to use either a 125gr or 150 gr broadhead. How long should they be cut?

Thanks for the help,

David

You might try 2016s.  I would start w full length and bareshaft to final length.  I am finding out that for me a starting point is really a good guess.  Your bow will tell you what it will shoot for you.

I would say a 1916 would work for you. I shoot 40# with a 27" draw length and use 1816's. Either of those would proly work..but my guess is the 1916 would get you where u want to be.

Cut them 27" and use the 125 point. They will fly like darts.......IJ

I'd go with 1816's if you are going to cut them 27" or so.
