That's what's nice about Gary what ever you can dream and think of in a arrow he will make it happen! :clapper:
That was just a dig at Andrew's color choice. His heart seems to reside in Lansing, while I lean toward Ann Arbor.
I need to pay for my new bow before I can start ordering arrows for it. That is beautiful work, though. That splicing really sets them apart!
Ron
New bow needs a set of new arrows
I've been drooling over Garys Arrows for a while. Finally ordered :knothead: :knothead:
Mitch, this is a time of austerity in the Peek household. Bow gets some "hand me downs" - re-wrapped and re-fletched 1535s. Someday soon I hope to treat it to something like those above.
Bladepeek, that's funny! Actually, I said to Gary, "let's do green, white and silver. Think Michigan State Spartans". And Gary took it from there!
Mitch, their Easton Legacy 2016's. Should be here Friday!

Those are some Goldtips heading to OH
Thanks Gary.
I've got several pictures of your arrows stored away as reference for the next set of carbons I need.
I've often thought about a set with blue in them - those just got bumped to the top.
Wait until you see the new blue and chartreuse I am working on
These are special and they are coming out great !
And no pictures ? :nono:

I will have pictures soon they have been dipped and cresting started

Almost a shame to get them all bloody and matted down.

Gary,
you don't do a membrance splice? Is there a reason you prefer cutting the bases as compared to the membrane splices?
btw, as beautiful arrows as I have ever seen.
How long would you say it takes you to do 1 dozen?
I would say (per the last pic)so he dont have a yellow quill running between a blue crest and blue feather. :dunno:
Very nice work!
Those arrows with the cresting under the splicing look pretty cool! Is there a name for that?
My biggest reason is because I am firmly convinced it weakens the feather. And I glue my feathers back together before I glue them down on the shafts. I kinda rebuild the feather. And its mainly for strength
