I am wanting to know who uses other strings rather than Black Widow strings and which ones work well. I have a PSA.
-
I have strings made by Allen Shafer (now TenRingStrings) on my PSAX and several other bows, and I am more than happy with them.
High quality, well made strings, at a reasonable price, and fast service.

Thanks everyone for info.

I have Josh (OliverStacey) make mine for me.

ive had great luck with SBD strings as well as Allens strings, both are quieter than the heavier d97 that comes with widows.. ive had em on my PSA, PLV,both are wisper quiet, and also on a couple piece PA's that were always a challenge to get quiet, tell your string builder what your goal in a string is, they can help you

X2... Josh makes a great string, he also helped me to learn to make my own

I make my own strings for my PSA and am currently using Bohning Astroflight. I like 10strands and pad the loops to 14 strands.

Rick

I use Allen Shafer's strings on all my bows, including all the Widows I have had. He makes a top notch string and gets it out to you within a couple of days. He does meticulous work. It quiets them down and can't beat the extra FPS provided.

All of the above string makers build strings that far exceed the factory string,I have few PSA and all of them improved in speed shootability and quiteness.

I've got an SBD on my PCH, very pleased with it.

SBD and catwhiskers on mine with the recurve wraps.

Allen Schafer gets my vote.
