Over the past 6-8 months it seems to be the hottest topic,OE's refinded (I didn't thing it could be better)artisery of his already Magnificent line of bows and workmenship.Sooo I just had to get on the list.....He said mid-summer.............I can't wait, now I got to figure out what to go with BLACK WALNUT CORES :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: I'll leave that to the master.... Burt
Burt - you pick a model?
I thought Mr. Berry wasn't taking any orders :(
Congrats on the bow
Maybe I'm getting close.......I got on the list last July, keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm not sure of the model yet,I'm thinking Vixen or morningstar, or maybe both(wish I could)I took a shot and he had a spot.Give a call worst he can say is--well you know--call again. Burt
Frassetor, I started taking ASL a few weeks ago.
Ron you are very close, give me a call. Thanks Ron. ..OE
I have both Burt, and there's no wrong answer for sure. The only reason I put one of them on the bow rack is to shoot the other. They both get plenty of arrows.....daily. :D
Like Green, have both. Can't go wrong.
Rob, was out shooting Ms.Pinky today. Oh, I like her, going to shoot your arrows off of her in the morning. Ms. Pinky seems to like any shaft that comes along. ..OE
OE ???
"One eye" ,james vision in one eye is almost gone. His bows are extremely well detailed for an ole fart wearing an eye patch an buildn bows :-) love ya james, misty dawn is slamming them woodies bro!
Congrats on getting on the list, which one of OE creations is a difficult choice. I am waiting for my build to come up for a Taipan.
OE's bows are kinda like Lay's potato chips..betcha can't have just one!
I'm excited, I'll give Mr. Berry a call in a couple of weeks.......A morning Star at my specs, YaHooooooo!!
Hey Ron, what specs did you decide on? And what wood choices and limb lams did you pick?
ronp, specs will be 45# @ 29", 66 or 68. The rest is up in the air. I'm thinking Myrtle riser, brown glass on the back and yew on the belly. I'll let James give me his input on what he thinks will pull off a great looking and shooting bow. This will be fun.......
Those specs sound perfect Ron (for me!). Now I'm thinkin' I need a Morningstar to go with my Taipan...
Looking forward to seeing your bow Ron.
Sorry to Hijack the thread BSV.
I look forward to your pictures as well.
No hijack,It's fun lets keep it going. It will help the time pass..Burt

Many thanks ... I met James many years ago at a shoot in Washington and bought a bow he was shooting, then I won one at a shoot a few years later and then I bought another that was used from a fella in Spokane. All fine shooters.
Ken, the bow you won, did it come out of the Richland WA. shoot? In the early 90s, My brother, Dan and I use to donate 3 bows a year to the club for about 4 years. They were/are a great club. ..OE
Okay fellas...now that you've got it out of your system...no more talkin' to James!! ;)
Sorry Tony, That's not going to speed up your order on your Pink Ivory Vixen. LOL ..OE

Sorry Macatawa! I just got off the phone with Mr. Berry a while ago. Ordered a sweet Morningstar between shoveling snow detail.
Thanks James! It's always good talking to you, Sir.
Well James, can't blame a guy for tryin'... :p
Ron, I am sure that we are both in for an awesome experience.
Is the "OE" a different series of the same bows he offers now, just a fancier or different version of them or is it just a nickname that he goes by and that's what you all are calling his bows now?
If I wanted an ARGOS...there's not a standard ARGOS and an "OE" ARGOS is there?
I know it might be a stupid question, but I wanted to ask and make sure anyway.
Thanks
Nalajr
From my understanding after talking with James a few times, including today, the OE bows are an improved design that, according to him, will make me want to throw my current Morningstar in the trash bin. I kinda doubt that, but at the same time it really makes me look forward to see what the mad bowyer has spawned since OE became the norm.
James - hope you and Ms. Pinky take some coin off Dan!
Any-one ever see a take down by OE?

Yes that was it, I was over shooting with Dave Young and Aaron Fortune. It was a pretty honey colored bow with snake skins, unfortunately I put a knick in one of the lams accidently and it broke on me, I cried for a week, but it was totally my fault. The one I bought from you also had snake skins, it was a 55#er and I sold it a few years ago because it got a bit heavy for my old bones.
BVS, sorry I don't make T/Ds.
Ken, I spoke with Dave Young last fall, Great Archer, and super nice guy. I am pretty sure I remember you, Wasn't that in 1994, WOW, where has time gone, that was 21yrs. ago.
Rob the BIG prize is the day I take coin from Mr.Rob Green, I will be saying "Any old one eye guy can beat him" LOL ..OE
Ha! You already got plenty of my coins....and more to take. :biglaugh:
Congrats Ron P! Hope you love your new bow.
James you are correct on 1994, I was just recovering from falling off my roof and I may have even had my "boots" still on each foot. I believe you and I exchanged bad ankle stories. I talked to Dave just yesterday, he and I still go to a shoot or two each year, and yes he is one of the finer shooters around.
Glad to see your bow building business is still going strong.

Ha! Bring your dollar Mr Berry... I'll have my Morning Star and I need the coffee money this morning. :archer2:
Ha, James you told me to think long and hard to make this bow nock your socks off special, would'nt want a t/d anyway,I'm sure it will be special without me over-thinking it.Burt
James,
Inquiring minds want to know....
Did you "Thrash Em"? :saywhat:
I may start thinking Ms. Pinky is nothing more then a free loader, if I don't do better next week.
I came in last, but only by 2pts. Starting to get the hang of this, one eye shooting thing, I got going on. (you just hope for slop in arrows and jar lickers!) ..OE
" sorry I don't make T/Ds" :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I tried to convince OE but gave up ealry on the lost cause. :D
Mr Berry if you put her on a weight loss diet you can feel free to send "Pinky" here for some "X" ring training....lol
God bless,Mudd
Mudd..
Even "Pull-Tab" training.....it doesn't get any better than that! :archer:

James, I'd be happy to take that free loader off you hands. Hate the thought of you having to put up with her nonsense. :wavey:
However, her sister is apt to be just like her tho...just can't win.
