The stumbled upon an add on facebook last night, where someone was seiling a bow. She hasn't shared my bow interest so far, but today we went and picked up a nice looking little bow. It is a 54" recurve that pulls 24# @28". Tried a few arrows, and it seems to shoot just fine.
The only thing she (and I) didn't like is the big logo on the limbs. Is it possible to repaint recurve limbs with a good result?

You can paint or use tape.
spray paint works well. some people put wax on the limbs before they paint for easy removal.
congrats on your wife's new bow.
Congrats to your wife on her new bow. Enjoy shooting together.
You could sand the limbs down with 220 grit then 400 grit sandpaper then refinish with Tru-Oil.
You might want to take a look at OneStringer Limbsations. They are durable, but non-permanent in case you want to restore the bow to original for future sale. Huge variety of wood grains, snake skins, or other designs.

Bladepeek, is that something like that foil you buy for car-decorations? That comes in a lot of colors and textures.
Try a little Acetone and the logo should come right off without damaging the limbs. I use it to remove the logo from carbon arrows.

Trond, yes. Take a look at their web site. There is a video of how to apply them and pictures of all their designs. The videos can be found under the Video (of all places) header. Videos of how to apply/remove arrow wraps, limb coverings, lots of things. I've always had super fast response from them when ordering arrow wraps, or making custom designs.

another vote for onestringer customer service !!
How about shipping costs from the US to Norway? That tends to be a little pricey.
If you see something you like, I'd ask them. We're not talking about shipping a 68" longbow here :)
Thanks. I just might do that.
I was also thinking some Limbsations copperhead skins would suit that bow just fine. They mail in a standard size envelope.
x2 on Onestringers limbsations.
