Title: Stiktamers

Anybody use them? Do they slow the bow down any?

I use them, I think they help with deadening the sound. No,
They do not slow the bow down. They are just basically a string stop, the arrow is away before they actually do anything.
They weigh next to nothing and they do a great job of keeping things from getting under your bow string. I hunt from a tree stand a lot and hang my bow on a hook, they make it much easier and quieter to remove the bow from a hook.
Not cheap, someone is really making a killing selling them, but they work so I guess in the end that's all that matters.

Check the size of your string loop to see if they will clear them when you un string your bow!

I agree with the 'making a killing'.  I use BowHush and Hush Puppies, and the price of these stickwhatevers make Bowhush a steal of a deal.

I agree with Mackey. I place them on all of my bows. As mentioned in addition to deadening vibration and sound they help when hanging the bow.  They also prevent brush from catching in your string when hunting.

Hush puppies took a lot of speed out of my bow. If these don't effect the performance of the bow, they might be worth a shot.

Arctic Hunter, if your in this sport for speed, your in the wrong game. Hush Puppies only take off a few FPS and more than make up the difference in a quiet bow. Do you know what the difference in impact time is between an arrow going 200 FPS and one going 180 fps, easy it's .020 that's 200th. Of a second.
Keep em quiet, you'll be way better off in the long run.

All things being equal, speed equates to energy and why would you not want more?  Hush puppies made the bow slower and the arrows kick stiff for me. And they weren't any quieter for me than whiskers. So I use something else.  Some people love them though. I still have another set, maybe I'll try them again some day.

Thanks for the comments on stiktamers.
