Are either one of these clothing lines made in the USA?
KUIU is not, but I love the stuff. It is my go to other that extreme cold.
I don't think that First Lite is either, but I could be wrong. It is another quality product from what I here but I cant personally attest to that.
I have almost everything First Lite offers, super high quality stuff I really like mine.
I cannot answer as far as if it is made here in the US or not however.
I'm fairly certain that both are made overseas. What that might typically mean in terms of quality is negated by careful quality control. Both brands are good quality. But if you're looking for merino layers made in the US on principle, look at Duckworth Wool (they're the same guys who started IO Merino and later started this company).

As mentioned above, KUIU is not made in the U.S.A.. All of their products are currently somewhere off of the left coast in the water and not expected anytime soon (union dockworker strikes and retaliation). My wife ordered my x-mas gift in October.......still somewhere off the left coast with no arrival date in the near future. I asked for one of Chuck's hats. Go figure.

One thing to look for: KUIU and Sitka are the only technical clothing manufacturers that I know of that have a lifetime warranty on their products. Everybody else has a 1 year warranty.
I think this is especially critical when buying rain gear.
Thanks for the input gentlemen. I am considering both. Luckily a friend has been nice enough to allow me to try both products out of his inventory which should help in the decision making process.
First Lite apparel is made in Thailand. I have several pieces of their apparel and I am very pleased with the quality.
This is an interesting topic in that does anybody know of an american made technical hunting clothing line that is on par with Kuiu, Sitka, First lite.
Big fan of first light here.
