Beautiful, good luck to you both.
Great looking country.
Some of it a bit "thickety", to say the least. Have a good season, looking forward to some success tales.
:shaka:
Beautiful place to Hunt, we will be waiting for your stories.
Best of luck RY!! Looks like some beautiful country i will be waiting on the success stories
Gorgeous country. I was jealous of the pictures where you could see bare grass in the continental US. This has sent me over the edge! We have had a consistent 2.5 feet or better of snow on the ground since the holidays in addition to the 7 feet we had fall on us in November. Get me to Hawaii! Good luck with your season
Thanks Ryan! A beautiful reminder of my time in the islands and, with 6 ' of snow already, a longing to return!
Beautiful pics Ryan. Vacationed there many years ago brings back good memories. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!
Wow, I feel so sorry for you having to hunt in such terrible conditions. :knothead: No doubt you guys are the envy of lots of us right now on this side of the pond. Thanks for the absolutely gorgeous pictures. Made my morning to see such beauty. You are blessed.
Great Pictures Ryan. I am here with the other snowbirds. The snow is up to my crotch in most places.
That camo pattern you have looks great, except for I cant see it. This is how I know its working :readit:
Thank you for the pics, you live on a beautiful island.
Wow! That is some kind of beautiful there! I've never been to Hawaii but if I ever go I'd much rather spend my time where you are than on a crowded beach.
Besides being beautiful, some of those areas are really thick To get through.
That sure is some beautiful country y'all got over there, Ryan!
Awesome pics, and good luck to y'all!
Bisch
That's such a beautiful landscape. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the kind words Gang! We really appreciate it!
Yes, we are very fortunate with the weather that we have here in the islands and yes it is very "thick" this year. It through off the pattern of the goats, so we'll have to do some trekking this year.
Aloha!
Ryan
Great as always my friend.
Great pics Ryan! Makes me wish I had Instagram. Love the blue in the ocean pics.
awesome pics
WOW Ryan, breathtaking pictures. I always enjoy the stuff you share!
Very nice, thanks for posting.
Very nice buddy. That looks like some ass kickin country. Your snake gaitors look a little short.
;)
Great looking land. Great pictures.
Wow just amasing.
Cool looking country...
Thanks for posting. Paradise to the max. Beautiful backdrops and Trad. Bowhunting. Doesn't get any better than that.
Best of luck on your hunt.
Yeah brother, good stuff!
I swear I'm gonna talk my wife into going to HI. some day, but she just hates to fly :banghead:

Thank you! :shaka:
I definitely need an upgrade in gaiters, especially because of all those highly venous snakes in the tall grass.. :D

We know exactly what she means about flying. We'd be on the mainland more often if we could drive there. ;)
Mahalo for all the kind words Gang!!! :shaka:

Thank you! Yes, it's public land on the island of Oahu.
Aloha!
Ryan
Awesome pics. There are some nice "lines" in the ocean also!!! Do you surf Ryan? The one thing I miss about Cali is the surf and the trips to Hawaii to surf.

There was a time when I surfed 2-3 times a week, now it's mostly bowhunting. There was a west swell that day. The resized pictures aren't that clear though...

Ryan,
As always GREAT stuff. I don't know how I missed it the first time threw, I normally look for your posts.
Thank you Kevin,

Great Photos Ryan. I love the color and composition.
One day I wish to Hunt Hawaii, just not in sweltering heat.
How did I miss this before?? Great pics. Everyone would be a great screensaver. What do you do with the horns? Will they work for overlays on a bow? What animals are they...besides the pig:)
Wow. I feel like if I lived there I wouldn't work. I'd just be exploring with my bow ALL THE TIME. And hunting those goats you alway are after. Very cool Ry!
Great pictures Ryan! You freshened fond memories I have from being stationed there 1976-79.

Thanks you for the kind words!
Sometimes we'll save them for european mounts. Their horns are very similar to other animals with horns. I would think they would work for overlays. They are Spanish billy goats.
Thank you Guys!
Yes, work can get in the way Matty! :D
Charlie, yes the heat can get pretty bad, especially with the high humidity.
Congrats on the harvests Ryan and really what a bonus to be able to hunt in such beautiful country
Cool Pics Ryan! ..When ya gonna do another video?
SWEET!!!! :archer:

Those pictures are amazing. I don't know how much hunting I'd get done with all of that beautiful scenery. I'd be too busy drinking it all in.
Awesome Ryan! How's that Buffalo treating you? For some reason, I've always wanted one...
Thank you bear bowman!
Mahalo Kyle.
Here are my two reviews on the bow. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Great pictures! I bet everyone of those animals was well earned! Thanks for sharing.
Nice rams........must be neat to see stuff like that when hunting.
Thank you Big Lefty. Spot and stalking these critters is sure fun!
Ron, that was during Axis deer season and yes it's always awesome to see different types of game. All free range too.
Aloha!
Again Ryan, awesome photos.
How did the deer hunt go?
Thank you Charlie!
It was a great trip with a few close encounters, but unfortunately I didn't return with any Axis deer meat.
Charlie, here are a few images along with my "excuses". :D These accounted for less than half of my stalks while on that trip.
I crawled up to this herd, but unfortunately ran out of shooting light by the time I was within shooting distance.
Stalked this guy in some thick bush. No shooting lane and he eventually walked off
(http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah72/rysanpei/IMG_0782_zpstcppyu1f.jpg)
Last morning, I had the deer under 20. They were right on the other side of the fallen branch. Once I finally found a lane and got in position, the wind switched on me.

Check out this intersection
Very cool pics.
oh, man. love seeing these pics. i would really love to hunt goats like that one day. i'd trade whitetails for pigs and goats in a heartbeat.
Great sheep pics, good stuff all around.
Man Ryan, That intersection looks like someone played Beach Volleyball there.
Great post Ryan.
I'll be in Maui Spring of 2016 for a family vacation - and I'm looking on getting away for 2 days for a hunt... Hint... Hint...
Maybe we can shoot your buffalo and my new Tiburon side by side. Get some hoyt mojo goin'...!!!
Johnny and Matthew is you're ever on Oahu during goat season, just let me know!
Mahalo Izzy!

Pretty crazy huh Charlie!
Great pics Ryan! For those who have never hunted axis deer, they make whitetails seem like barnyard pets. Those things a SPOOKY! Quite a humbling experience hunting them, good on you getting as close as you did. I think I could have taken one out with a mortar.
Awesome pics Ryan!
Real cool stuff.
Beautiful country
LOL South!
Mahalo and Aloha Gang!!! :shaka:
I always hesitate before opening these type threads. It invariably leads to buying plane tickets...
Excellent!

How many can you kill in a year?
Man Ryan, those are some kool pic. Love my goat hunt'n.
Hopefully I'll be able to get one or two more west Texas
Hunts in soon.. Bob

In the public land area that I'm hunting in now, it's one goat/pig per day and bowhunting is open for six months and open daily.
Bowhunting regulations varies within the island and amongst the islands.
In private land areas, it's usually up to the land owner in terms of the amount of game harvested.
That would be awesome Bob! Best of luck to you for the remainder of the year!
