Just curious to hear from folks that own these bows and what they think of them ...... Thanks ;)
A bowyer that might get looked over by some, but not by me thankfully! I have had him make me three bows. One for me. One for my father. One for my grandson. All are Hill style ASLs. All are excellently made and are quality shooters. His guarantee is simple. If you don't like it, let him know. He'll make it right.
I love mine!
Mike is a great bowyer and listens to his customers.
I have taken 7 whitetails with mine. My pic with one of them is on his website :wavey:
I have a 7 Lakes SF (string-follow) Carolina Night ASL that is a great bow. 68", 52#@28". 3 cedar lams and 1 walnut lam in the limbs, black glass, walnut riser. For the past month or so I've been shooting this bow most often, and really like it. I've got several other Hill-style ASLs, but have been spending more time with this one lately because I just seem to shoot it well on my club's 3D course. It's quiet in the hand and shoots my long 2117 arrows with authority.
I'm the second owner of this bow. The original owner bought it from Mike as an unfinished blank, and did a nice job finishing the bow (see Mike's website for details on his longbow blanks). Mike makes a real nice bow for the money.
I love my Carolina Nights ASL and Mike's making me a Sawed Off recurve right now. Quality workmanship and excellent shooter.
I really enjoy shooting mine- 66" R/D. Great craftsmanship, a great shooter, quiet and a nice looking bow.
Thanks gentlemen ;)
I have a Long Night and it is a excellent bow if you like mild r/d bows with a quick turn around and great price .
Also Mike has done some nice snakeskin on some of his bows. Don't forget to ask.
7 lakes is an amazing bow, great service, quick turn around times and just an amazing guy to work with.
I picked one up from a tradganger. Beautiful bamboo 62". Very nice shooting bow.
