Has anyone seen both the Lemhi and Elk Hunter packs?
If so, thoughts, pros and cons of each? Thanks
I own the Lemhi and it is a great pack. Carries everything I need for the day elk hunting here in Montana. The Lemhi is a little trimmer pack and more of a panel loader, with a zippered main compartment opening. It is also about 1300-1400 cubic inches smaller. The Elk Hunter has a top pouch flap covering the opening to the main compartment.
All Bison Gear packs are extremely well made and will last for a long, long time.
It depends on what your intended use is, as to which model would be best for you. As a daypack, I think I would find the size of the Elk Hunter too large for my taste. I like a little narrower pack that is more "behind me", to clear brush and tree limbs.
Hope this helps. Good luck on the search!
Ron
Thanks for the info Ron. Do both packs have internal frames?
The Elk hunter does. I take the elk hunter with me on every hunt no matter Alaska or hunting turkey. It is roomy enough for my camera end extra gear. I practice shooting with it on and it feels great. Mike
Thanks Mike. Website said the Lemhi had an internal frame, but didn't say if the Elk Hunter did or not.
Been wanting a lemhi for years. They don't come up for sale used, If that tells ya anything.

There was one on here a couple weeks ago and I missed it. I probably should have jumped on it.

Yes you should've. They are hard to come by. Guess one of these days I'll have to contribute so I can see the classifieds again. Good luck to ya .
