Of a Great Northern Super Ghost. 51@ 28. It is sooo much quiter, faster, and smoother than what I have been shooting. Don't get me wrong, I like the Samick Sage, it will stay with me, but it's app;es and oranges. I have not tuned anything or adjusted the brace, I just shot a bunch of arrows through it and had a ton of fun doing it. Thank you Paradocs! What a great bow, and between you and A.S. I think by the end of the month this thing will be shooting very well. If I can figure out how to post a pic I will put it on here.
Congrats on the new bow. Shooting trad bows is a whole new level of fun isn't it.
thanks! and yes it is...I feel like I killed something when I hit the center of the vitals on a 3d target, I can only dream of what it will feel like on a live target...
Fantastic Landon, I'm glad it worked out for you. Now if mother mature will cooperate so we can tune her up at Dixie, all will be good!
Sounds good to me!! Doc seems to think we can tune the arrows that I have. It would be nice not to have to buy different arrows. I know this, that thing is really fast!
Oh you got a good one there, I shoot a ghost(not the super) and your right it's a light fast bow !!
Good for you! I know the sage is a pretty good shooter but then compare it to something better and its night and day!
Congrats ;)
IMO, you have the best 50's style recurve built. Congrats
Awesome. Post some pics.
It's a good thing to see you coming along so well and, with a nice new bow.
:clapper:
QuoteAwesome. Post some pics.
Ya, internet says it isn't true without pics! :bigsmyl:

There ya go, Landon...hope you enjoy her!
Now that is a sweet looking stick! Congrats.
Man, that's one good looking bow you've got there!! Do you know what kind of wood that riser is made out of?
Sweet looking bow!
Awesome. Let's hear a review when you get a chance.

Great looking Bow!
Nice! Congrats.
That is a sweet looking bow. I second Jake's sentiment lets hear a review. As soon as I read your OP I went and checked out Great Northern's web site. I like their Super Ghost the best out of all the bows they carry you made a great choice in my opinion. Very 50's as far as aesthetics go which is my preference in a recurve bow. With excellent materials, fit and finish. Thank you for sharing you may have helped me find my second bow. The only difference is I would go for the Grayling Green version. My nostalgia meter was pegged as soon as I saw that green mixed with those lines. All I could think was WOW!
Thanks guys, Paradocs, big thanks to you! It is a sweet bow for sure. So far I am getting used to the grip. I have slapped my arm a bunch. It's quite a bit thinner than the sage. 48# it is zipping my 466 gr arrows. It draws so easily, it doesn't feel like 48-49#. It's very quiet even with my arrows. I have not messed with the brace yet. the rec from Great Northern is 7 1/4- 7 1/2 a very small variance. It is set right now at a touch under 7 1/2. The bow has very thin string from A.S. looks like an 8 strand. I think Allen and myself are going to tinker a bit with strings at the end of the month. Im not sure if my arrows will work. 3555 trads gt at 29" 195 gr up front. Im very happy with this bow. How do you post pics? Please tell me.
You can email them to me and I'll post them up for you if you don't have a photobucket or imgur account.

thanks jake! So I need a photobucket account. I can try that
Yeah setup a photobucket account and upload the pics. Then follow the directions in the "Tradgang and computers" or the "photography/video" forum. There are a bunch of how to threads.
Jake
ok I will get the wife to set it up for me. thanks
I would guess that riser is Dymondwood or a similar laminate...the giveaway is the "grain" pattern in the sight window
