Sad news,
John Girardi owner of Old Master Crafters, passed away today.
A good pal of his called just a bit ago and told me he had a heart attack earlier in the week. He underwent 5 bypasses and a valve replacement and never recovered.
RIP John
Sorry to hear that. RIP Sir. God bless.
Was just thinking about John the other day . This is certainly sad news.
John was involved in the archery business all his life. When I was building bows he was a great help always eager to share his knowledge. His business was a family business he practically grew up making bows and providing wood and laminations to other bowyers. I considered John a friend He will be missed.
My prayers go out to his family
I purchased my first bow making supplies from his dad in 1973. Sad to here about some ones passing.
Prayers for his family.
God bless them
Thank you John for your help, RIP. ..OE

Wow.. Really Sad News.. I just recieved a nice stock of action wood blocks, and veneers from John.. He was really good at offering advice, and just generally good to talk with..
Rest in Peace, Brother.
Johnny was a good friend and I enjoyed many, many happy hours with him as a fellow member of Kenosha Bowmen. He always made me laugh with a ready joke and was always smiling. The archery world lost a great friend today. I will miss him a lot.
We have lost a good friend and a lifelong supporter of Traditional archery. He will be missed
John provided a great product and friendship to the archery community. Great example of small American business. He will be missed. God Bless John

OMG, I just talked with him over the phone last week and ordered a catalog.....I am so sorry.
I shoot in a winter leage at Kenosha Bowmen where John has been a member for decades. He tended bar after shooting and was a great guy. Spent time in his shop many times over the years. He will be missed. Prayers sent. Mike
Every time I look at the bows I made with his help I will think of John.

Met John in 1987 at the Great lakes shoot in Marshall, Mi. We shot a round together, and have a pic with him shooting in a pit blind at a bear target.
My first custom longbow has walnut lams he did in it. He was setup beside me at Cloverdale and always got some strings from, too.
He was always fun to be around an shoot with, too! He gave my wife a bamboo butchet block, that we still use!
RIP, John! Prayers and best to family and friends!
Thanks for good times shared!
What a void he'll leave, such a great guy, so much knowledge that he readily shared. I sure will miss him!
A great man, friend, and mentor to so many. He will be greatly missed
