Would like to hear at least one good review before I take the plunge. Hope it shoots as good as it looks....
Thanks,
Dave
I'll second that too. I started a thread on this awhile back. Big Jim says he has seen them in person and they are fantastic. But still I haven't heard anything from anyone that has bought one yet. Maybe they are still not shipping them out yet.
My guess is Bear will have a few on hand at their booth in Kalamazoo at the Traditional Bowhunters Expo this weekend. I'm sure we'll get some feedback from those that fling a few arrows through them.
You better get on the list now...and then expect to see one in late summer.
None shipped to dealers yet. As of now, Bear is still fulfilling orders from 2014 but catching up at least a little.
We have already taken in over 300 bows since November...well, almost as that would include the 85 I bought this morning. They should be here next week...another batch of missed weight bows and there are some sweeties in there...no phenolic super K's though.
Take it easy on them. They are doing everything possible to turn out quality bows in a timely fashion but they are simply swamped! They sell more grizzlies and Montana's than anything.. maybe more than the rest combined. These take up most of their build time.
I have over 90 of the Phenolic Super K's on order from the beginning of October. Their are still many that aren't spoken for so if you want one, give us a call and get your name on the list. they are sweet!!!!!
thanks, bigjim
My buddy got the 10th one made and loves it. He let me hold it but not shoot it 'cuz it was RAINING! Yeah, he's an over protective parent of his new baby. LOL
Very very nice bow! Just beautiful. It was fairly heavy too, so I can only imagine it shoots sweet. I wouldn't know because it was RAINING! :)
Red Beast master, were both riser and limbs a nice gloss finish? The riser looks like it from the pics, but you can't really see the limbs and what they look like. That phenolic and rosewood on the riser looks fantastic. Hope its as nice as the new 59s are.
Bryan,
Yeah, gloss finish.

I did not shoot one but saw them at Kzoo and they are stunning to say the least.
Other than added mass weight, they should shoot the same as the GG super K's (The super K is a very nice shooting bow..and quick too). I don't think they made any changes to limbs or shape.

Lol oh man why didn't I drive to Kzoo? Someone needs to share some good pics of theirs when they get it.
Stop talking about this bow! I've got a 59er and a new two tone take down, and another half a dozen vintage ones. I don't NEED another bow, but I've always thought those 69s were awful pretty!
We always need another bow. Lol
I was impressed with the 64" version that was there at Kzoo. It is heavier than wood but comfortably so. The weight would dampen vibrations for sure. While I didn't shoot the bow I did pull it back some and it was smooth as you might expect from a longer and heavier bow. It was drop dead gorgeous too. Id say it stacks up real well with bows costing a lot more. I will likely buy one at 45lbs.
Thanks guys, sounds like it will be worth the wait.
I shot one today at K-ZOO and it shot pretty good. Great looking bow. A little high in price.
