What woods do you like or match well with bubinga?
Wenge
:dunno:
I would think only you can decide that
Just about anything but pink.
I think Bear had a great idea with the 1963 Polar...they were bubinga sandwiching a zebrawood i beam
DDave
Greybark, white, black, green futurewood... Basically anything.
Yellow heartwood
Birdseye Maple.
Bubinga goes well with just about anything. I think its handsome with Ziricote, Bocote, Zebrawood, Yellowheart, Gonçalo Alves, heck there are sooo many choices.
Ebony or shedua
I've love the look of my Babinga and Ebony riser and quilted Babinga limbs...

Well if your Bubinga has a lot of character and figures a dark colored wood can match really well, for me it would be Gabon Ebony. If instead your Bubinga is pretty plain a nice striped Macassar can go with it.
I don't care for 2 figured woods side by side.
Micarta and bubinga look good to me.

Very Sharp Kip!
I like a darker wood to go with bubinga like wenge, ebony or zircote.
That Bob Lee is sweet Kip! Nice matching knife also!
If not going with Macassar ebony I would use tiger wood or osage orange . God bless, Steve
x2 Osage!!
Personally I think bubinga goes best with a synthetic or contrasting dymondwood type of product.
I backed a bubinga bow with bamboo. The light and dark colors contrast nicely.
Ebony or Wenge looks good with bubinga.

Really any dark wood will go well and Osage if very nice with it if you like a little brighter colors for a while. When the osage ages it gets very nice with the bubinga.
We just made a couple of risers for a customer in Italy with Bubinga that are very handsome.

I'm making one right now with bubinga and curley maple. I think it will look real classy.
Macasar, Ziracote, Chechen.
I like the looks of my bubinga and katalox, which is a dark wood, RER but think most any dark wood would look good, like so many have said.
A nice piece of Waterfall Bubinga with an ebony stripe for the riser and cedar limb veneers.
Here's a sneak peek of the one I am working on. First coat of sealer. Lot's of work to do!

BigJim"s signature always looks good with it
If you like it light, Myrtle. If you like it dark, Ebony.
Anything BLACK!
What is this going into?
Here's some with Cocobolo stripe.

Anything that is light colored with a lot of grain, to contrast with the dark color with little grain pattern. Bubinga riser with red elm limbs looks great. Bubinga and zebrawood riser looks great.
