After reading longbow fanatics post about making a deal with his wife, I thought I should share mine deal as well.
I have been wanting to hunt bear with Stickflingers for a few years and when an opening came up this year I jumped at the chance, after talking with my wife.
After the arrangements were made, my wife said " you know, just because you are going bear hunting this spring does not mean that I don't want you to go elk hunting with Matt (our son) in September. I think it is important for you to do stuff with him, if he wants to."
Man, I love that woman!
G
Hmmm? Pretty tough deal to accept! That's quite the woman you have there...
Now lets hope we can see a bear...
Nice..... ...
I'll trade you. Lol
Sorry Jt,
We have invested 42 years in this deal, one of the top two best things that ever came into my life. I would hate to start over now. I have been blessed greatly; a great son who still wants go out and hunt with the old man, and a wife that likes to see us enjoying this passion.

MnFn,
You got the real deal Buddy!
Awesome!
Good luck on both hunts!

Thanks boys.
Ryan, No pressure, but I have great expectations. All part of the joy, right?
Very fine wife, mine is much the same. You will enjoy Stickflinger's, Ryan and crew are top noch and you WILL see bears.Be prepared for some excitement :scared: :scared:
That's right Gary, just because you're going bear hunting doesn't mean you can skip elk hunting! I would say you are very blessed to have a wonderful family. Best of luck on all of your hunts.
P.s. Hunting with Stickflingers you should have plenty of opportunities to quote Marge Gunderson, I'd like to hunt with them myself one of these days.
Man oh Man, That's a tough deal to uphold on your end.
Bet it did not take long to accept her terms. Enjoy.
That's a great deal !
Compromise can be so hard in a marriage. I feel for you brother. :biglaugh:
Good luck on your hunts. Looking forward to seeing some pics.
Great post, I just shared it with my wife. Actually I have a good one too. We both support each other in our hobbies.

Your arm sore from the twisting she gave you?
Way to take one for the team!
you got a good one there! Luckily, my wife knows that my hunting/fishing hobbies are what relieves my stress...lets just say after she deals with me all winter shes ready for me to get in the woods or on the river in the spring!
Awesome lady, Gary! Have a great time on your hunts and best of luck!
My wife tells me-"you ought to, you deserve it". I treat her like the princess she is to our family and she makes sure i have freedom for my hobby. I love my wife
I like those deals :bigsmyl:
Too cool!
My wife made a deal with me too! I asked her if she would mind if I dropped some cash on a new bow after I finished grad school, and she thought that would make a fine graduation present.
When you find a woman like this, YOU KEEP HER!
I hear guys complain, but like you my wife doesn't care about my hunting stuff.
I can hunt most any morning I want so ling as I am home in the evenings when she is off work.
Want a new rifle? Buy it.
Want a new bow? Buy it.
As long as bills are paid and there is money in savings she is good with that.
