I love discovering bows that are unfamiliar to me, rigging them for good performance and seeing if they dance with me and my two left feet. One of my latest is a 1966 Mustang, zebrawood I-beam suspension, 64" wheelbase and 58# of string-bending torque. This bow is Raquel Welch..long limbed, exotic freijo wood slabs in the riser and curves to die for..Ben Person's top of the line hunting bow almost a half century ago and, boy oh boy, she has not aged at all.
I may never get completely comfortable shooting 58#, but I mean to buy her a backless dress with a slit up to there and take her for a turn on the dance floor, so I need a string, arrows and a crash course in tango lessons. I'm looking for any suggestions on how not to embarrass myself before I get to second base.
