Title: 1820 shafts & inserts
Post by: robtattoo on January 20, 2015, 12:54:00 PM
Does anyone know (or have) of ANYONE that has inserts in stock for the Easton 1820 shafts?
3 rivers & just about everyone else has the complete arrows or bare shafts in stock, but I'm drawing a big ol' bagel on inserts. 3 Rivers shows them as on backorder, but Easton's site no longer lists them at all.
I'm in a bind here & I'm desperate to get my hands on one or two dozen.

If I were desperate, I'd try some 1713 inserts, or use a drill and sandpaper to whittle down some 1816 inserts:
1820 I.D.: .2413"
1816 I.D.: .2493"
1713 I.D.: .2396"
1714 I.D.: .2376"

3 Rivers has been backordered on inserts since at least last September.

I will look to see what is up on the rack.  No promises, but I will look tomorrow.

I've had them back ordered from 3 Rivers since July.  I did buy some Easton Epic carbon inserts to get by.  They were a little small but I used thick smooth on epoxy to put them in.  These are really nice arrows for a bow that is 40-50#.  they spine out about 52# if I remember right.  Small diameter, thick walled, they are pretty tough.  With a 200 grain point, cut to 29" they are around 575 grains. Sorry guys.  I went to both electronic and did a physical inventory.  He does not have any.
