Title: Turkey season around the corner.
Post by: freedomhunter on January 19, 2015, 04:34:00 PM
Hey all, I just drew a local wma turkey quota and have 3 days to tag a bird or two and have a quick question.  When practicing how big of a target am I looking at.  I read the shot placement thread and was very informative about aiming high, but when setting up something in my yard how big of a target am I looking at?

Scroll down a bit to the turkeys.  I am SUPER excited about turkey season.  It's hard to beat one of those gobbles that rattles the woods.

Sorry, I didn't see the part about already looking at the shot placement thread.  I would say you're looking at shooting an area about the size of a softball.  Maybe smaller, maybe larger depending on the bird.  Good luck, turkey hunting is a blast.
