I recently finished up my first hip quiver. I get a lot of satisfaction from making my own gear. I used some wildebeest hide that I traded a broken guitar for a couple of years ago. The zebra hide was an old wine bottle cover I got at a yard sale. It had a zipper top. You can see the holes where the zipper was stitched on. I had to take it apart and cut it down some to fit. I made sure to leave the stamp on the inside. I enjoy re-purposing old stuff any time I can. I put two screws into the the antler to hold the belt loop fold. I think I'm going to redo the antler. I just drilled a hole for the screws. I think it would hold up better if I drilled and tapped the holes and used machine bolts. I used a stiff leather for the back. I stitched the wildebeest hide onto the back and folded it over. I've been wanting a hip quiver for 3D shoots. I can't wait to try this one out.
