I emailed Mickey last week and he asked me to share a message.
QuoteAnd please tell all my friends at Tradgang that I said Hi, and that I think of them often.
Take care my friends,
Mickey
He didn't ask me to share this part but I'm going to anyway. I mean how's he gonna know? :)
QuoteAll I have is a full jpeg file. Took lots of deer pics again this year, but didn't hunt again this season, but still riding the motorcycle. Rode 21 miles yesterday at -1 degrees. Rode 27,000 miles in 2014. Rode to California and back. Had a great time. Always wanted to ride Cal Highway 1 and dip a toe in the Pacific. Mission accomplished!

 get out there and live your dreams
Thanks for the post John.
Good for him. Some of my favorite Tradgang posts of all times were the threads where Mickey and others were doing the traveling auction bow collaboration donation for St. Jude's.
Just Do It!
Love to hear about Mickey, I miss him here, but am glad to see he is living the life and is happy.
David
Glad he is doing well, sure do miss him.
Been missing his posts as well as his company,(and the HD's FH ;) )at Mojam.
Glad he's well and having a good time.
Cool! We tend to email each other when something significant happens in our lives like a grandchild being born. LOL
Mike
That bike looks like a space ship! Much too high tech for a traditional dude! :)
Nice photos, nice bike, nice guy......I miss his posts and his humor! I also love a nice cross country ride on a motorcycle, riding since 1971.
Ferret! :wavey:
Thanks, John. The very sight of that name made me smile! Ah, for the "Good Ol' Days"...
Did Ferret drop out of Trad Archery altogether? Why isnt he here anymore??
:archer:
I think I know Ferret from the Honda CB1100 forum. Would that be the same guy? From southern Ohio?
Ferrets a good egg in my book, lol
Sorry to not see him post anymore but glad he's enjoying life!
I dunno JD, I think he's a rotten old egg and smells funny. ;)
I miss him and Diane. Between MoJam and Cloverdale specifically, and trad archery in general, my boys had a lot of good, solid men and women to look up to. They are men now. Good ones. Mickey, Diane and others had more positive impact on my sons' lives than they'll ever know.
Cool. Glad life is going well
SquareHead, that would be the same guy. He's a top notch type of guy.
Funny as all get out, and one of the best dudes ever.
I built my first selfbow with knowledge from his posts. I got to meet him once back in the day and still have one of his floppy rulers!
"Good on-ya Ferret". Glad to hear you are living your life bro. Miss ya. Best wishes.
Thanks for the update John.
I've known Mickie for a while now from TradGang and PA. I finally got to meet him at the Tenn. Classic a few years ago and he's just as nice and generous in person as he was on line. I miss his post here too.
Miss him. Liked his story's....
When my wife and I stopped going to Cloverdale it was about the same time I stopped seeing Mickey post. I always like saying hello and talking with him at Cloverdale.
Good guy. I have more than one bow with a Ferret floppy rest. Ha, Gotta go back a while to know what that is.
Bill
Generous man with his time and skills:

Aw man! Is The Ferret Buddha?
His pokeberry arrow is one of my prized artifacts.
I have nothing but fond memories, respect and sincere well-wishes for Mickey and his family.
Killdeer :wavey:
Nice to see the "Ferret" is living large and in charge. We probably passed each other on the bikes last summer out west. He's a part of my man cave as well, as one of his special arrows hangs on the wall. Walk in beauty Mr. Lotz. :notworthy:
I found this site by a google search on cane arrows back in 05 06 sometime. So I guess you can blame him for me being on here. Glad to hear he is doing well.
MoJam missed Mickey!!! And Brother Randy too!!!
