I have reworked the grip before I sent it away .

could I possibly get more detail as to what you are doing?
Using sand paper? what grit?
where did you get the medallion?
where did you get the new sticker?
how far down did you put the sticker?
thanks for taking me along!
I am not doing it . The bow is at the Bow Hospital , a sponsor on here .
He is sending pics to me as he goes .

That is incredible. What does something like that cost?
Wow that's amazing! Bow hospital does beautiful work!
Graps, That's beautiful good call to have it refinished. Enjoy
Just like having a new one! I had John at the Bow Hospital refinish my '69 Bear Super Kodiak a couple of years ago and was very happy with the results. Enjoy!

It's on the way back home now .
Amazing!
John Raferty has been a pleasure to work with . There were a few problems with the old bow and he worked with me and we bounced ideas back and forth . And as you can see , the results are awesome .
I would strongly recommend his service to who ever would like a bow refinished .
Graps, that picture of the bow, knife, file and arrows is farmable, to save a piece of history and have it look sooooo good is special, Congratulations!
Thanks Dale, our goal was to bring this bow back to life in honor of your dad and I hope we achieved it. It was also nice working with you and appreciated your input. I Always enjoy seeing what I can find under all the paint and age and bring out its original beauty. Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
John
Looks great!

I really enjoyed watching this bow fixed back proper..... Looks fantastic. One of these days I'll get Dad's Kodiak Hunter to them and have the same thing done ;)

Seems to be a shooter! I love my new to me kmags!
You did an excellent Job on that refinish!
That turned out beautifully.
The K Mag is a fun bow to shoot.
Looks great. I've been thinking about picking up an older Bear. If it needs work I think I'll send it to the Bowhospital.
These pictures don't do it justice . I was floored when I opened the package and held it in my hand .
The refinish is amazing , with all the holes to plug , John just knocked it out of the park over the center field balcony
