I was wondering if I could put cloth on the bow limbs like is done with snake skin ?
Has anyone done this and what type of cloth should be used ?
I was thinking of cotton and use wipe on poly like decoupage .
If the material that you want to use is not heavy or weight no more than a snake skin, this is could be ok.
Silk would work fine, use TBIII glue.
I made a pair of old school limb socks out of a old WWII camo tee shirt. Works just fine for me.
I know Sarrels Archery makes some bows with cotton cloth under the glass. It looks real good.

If you're interested in this, I make my own camo bow sleeves. They work great. Been using them for years.
For each bow limb, for recurve, I cut 9 1/2" on one end and taper cloth to 5" on other end. I make them 35" long, sew in elastic on each end, sew them up to make an open sock, and put 'em on my bows like the old fashion bow camo you could buy in the 1960's.
My favorite is cutting up old camo shirts that aren't any good for anything else.
I just made several this weekend, including one from a white tee shirt which is my "snow camo."
Can switch them out depending on where/when I am hunting.
3 Rivers Archery has camo limb socks and "3-D foliage" limb covers for about 25 bucks.
