Title: Day Bag Recommendations
Post by: Bobtulowiecki on December 28, 2014, 08:41:00 AM
Can anyone recommend a good day bag?  I am looking for something that can hold arrows and a small amount of gear to take in on longer hikes.  Thanks in advance

If you carry emergency gear ( tarp, extra food, clothes, etc. ) Kifaru's spike camp 2200ci. I put my Safari Tough arrow quiver on the side of the pack, everything fits nicely. I now use a slightly bigger pack, Kifaru UL3700 ci, however they don't make this model anymore.

Sounds like you need a CatQuiver. Depending on how much gear you want to take. I have a mini ( arrows only ) a II which holds arrows and small stuff. And a VI which I can get enough stuff in for a overnight if needed.

Lots of options if you add a quiver to most any daypack. The CatQuivers just do it for you.

Hope you find a set-up that works for you.

I just got a Tenzing 1140, has a place to attach your quiver.  I feel like I finally found the perfect day pack.

Tenzing 2220 for me. I can get all my spare/water proof/layering clothing in there, a days worth of food, 3l of water + emergency kit.
I carried a Cabelas fanny pack for ages, but it was a pain to carry along with a climber, not easy to hang & nothing carries as well or as comfortably as a good, well designed back pack.
It's big enough that if push comes to shove, I could pack out a boned out hog or deer .
