I have a custom recurve that has a twisted limb, can anyone help me with finding a person or business that specializes in fixing bows. I would send it back to the bowyer but he is having some serious health problems. This is my favorite bow and I would love to get it fixed!
Is the twist something that just developed recently?
If it is slight you can search here on Trad Gang there has been many post on the subject and solutions.
It really isn't hard to straighten them out.
If you prefer to send it to someone, look in the sponsors and look up Bow Hospital.
I agree with macbow. A slight twist is easy to correct. There a lot of threads on here detailing how to correct a twist. The simplest is just to twist the limb in the opposite direction of the twist.

My first step would be to determine how it happened.
Was it the old step thru stringing method?
Was it standing in a corner?
Did it happen using a stringer?
Until you find out, could this not happen again?
I had it hanging on 2 pegs in my basement and I think our cat knocked it off of one of the pegs and it was laying in a weird position for about 4 months. I will look up the bow doctor.
