Title: Christmas Suprise
Post by: Huntrdfk on December 25, 2014, 10:45:00 AM
My son Hunter, when he was younger, used to love to shoot and roam the woods with me. That was up until he was about 12, when sports and other activities really kicked in for him, leaving his bow on the rack collecting dust. This morning, just a bit ago, he about floored me when he asked me to string his bow so he could shoot. It has been six years, he is 18 years old now, it was pretty neat seing him outside in the rain shooting arrows! The bow is an older Bear Kodiak Magnum he won at one of Shawn Leonard's Bunny hunts six years ago, and he picked it back up without missing a beat...........

Merry Christmas, this alone made my day!

That's great I know the feeling my son shot with me just a little a few weeks ago he's,taken to duck hunting and seems to have lost interest in archery. It was nice he shot my Big Jim buffalo my Bob Lee hunter then his bear grizzly.  I hope he will take it up again.
Merry Christmas

You planted the seed, and most times they sprout... we all get sidetracked in life, school, sports, girls and jobs....but they come back.

Doesn't get much better than that.  My boys are now in their late twenties and early thirties and we have come full circle - now they take me hunting - its really great.

Love it Dave! My son (now 22) went through the same transitions. We're now trying to coordinate schedules to do a hog hunt down with True South Adventures. Todd
