I have been contemplating this switch for 5 yrs. I finally got the guts to start. I will be recieving my new 50# Samick Sage in a few days. I do not have everything I need yet. My next project is getting arrows, then a better string. Hopefully I will be shooting in the near future. I will have many more questions and I hope it doesn't irritate anyone. I am completely new to trad shooting. So please bare with me and thank you to all of the guys here. You guys are so impressive. Other forums I have been on over the years are caught up in anlter score, aging, speed, etc..this place is truly helpful. i have had several guys pm me with advice and offering help. Mec Lineman and Paradocs who live close by have offered their time and energy and their home to come and learn. I will certainly take them up on it. Merry Christmas to everyone of you.
Merry Christmas to you, Brother!
Very average for this place Brother. TradGang code is that you will get enjoyment from passing your knowledge on in a few years when someone needs help.
Warm Yuletide wishes! Don't ever hesitate to ask questions, it's how we all learn, even the people on the receiving end of questions learn something, quite often actually!
"Mec lineman" is a pal and good people!
Best of luck in your quest and good hunting!
You can learn soooo much over on the shooters forum as well! From Mr Terry's form clock to getting Moebow to weigh in on a self video.
It's all good!
God bless,
Rodd
I would definitely go visit those brothers that offered their help.
Nothing better than derect experience !!!
Man - that's why I love this site; it has the best people. Good luck VA. Enjoy the process of learning and improving. Know that shooting traditional archery equipment can be frustrating (potentially) at first, but if you stick with it, it's all worth it and then some.
Merry Christmas to you too!
Merry Christmas! The biggest part of going trad is to realize you can be just as successful as any other type of hunter. The main thing is to have fun. We all like big bucks, but you can't eat antlers. Get your gear set up, practice alot, and enjoy!
Welcome brother. Remember, trad archery is addictive, but if your going to be an addict, you may as well be among friends. You should be able to get all the help you need on this site. :campfire:
Welcome!. Yes as many have said so much information to be had here. Some very good people here. Enjoy, which I think you will
Very wonderful and polite people on here . Lots to learn on here as well .
Im all ears!
Graps, I love your signture quote btw.
Thanks Brother! My doors and ears are always open. I was fortunate to meet a great friend and hopefully lifelong hunting partner (Nathan Killen) on this sight and hope to get to meet many more. MERRY CHRISTMAS Craig
Thanks Chuck ,back at you !
Craig I hope your Christmas Eve finds you and the family well. After the season is over, I want to come down to your place and shoot/talk/learn a few things. I will call you soon.
Ten four, we re doing good just watching it rain. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I've been going back and reading older posts. (Boy is it boring in my house, right?) Anyway, I just mentioned to my wife, after reading a December post about a successful hunt that occurred in November, about how supportive everyone on this forum is. A guy posts a story and pictures of a successful hunt, whether its a trophy buck or a young doe. It might be a relatively short paragraph but will be followed by page after page of congratulations from fellow tradgang members. All she said was, "That's the way it always has been whenever we've been to traditional events anywhere". Makes you feel really good!!!
Congrats

Welcome! The only dumb questions are the ones I ask!
