Last time I got a brand new bow was back in 2002... Wife purchased a Black Widow TFV for me... Nice!
Then, getting involved with Trad Gang caused the learning curve to take an up swing for the best... Even Better!
Now enters "Trad Bows" and the fun never stops! If I do my homework, choose the same draw weight for my draw, I can have lots of toys for a fraction of the cost for new ones... No six month or a year wait... Most have mojo already. :D
Thank You tippit! I Love My "New-To-Me" Griffin Longbow! :jumper:

Its an enjoyable affliction
I have only one bow that was owned by someone else. I traded a yew Pete George for a takedown Robertson. Perhaps I got the short end of the deal, but the Robertson fits me and what I do with a bow better. As it is, a bow has to fill a useful slot to remain with me. I hate selling and trading bows, so a good number of my friends owe me for the free bows they got. I cannot think of any new bow I really can justify right now, but WHERE ARE THOSE SCHULZ BAMBOOS ANYWAY.
I have about a half dozen bows that were made for me. The rest I got used......and I have a bunch. I like trying different stuff.....if it don't work out I move it on to another. Paying 1/3 the price of a new one does not bother me at all!! Several bows I have bought from here came from the same couple of guys.
Aaah Man, where's the pics?
Congrats on the new to you stick! Have had plenty of them and like Ron said, if they don't work out, just move them on for something else.
Glad somebody picked that one up. That bow, as with most available on this site, needs to be shot on a regular basis. Congrats on a great bow.

Good Luck with your new bow Mikey.
Merry Christmas

 Enjoy your latest toy MIkey.
Ahh, Mikey Pal!! I've landed some awesome bows on here for dirt cheap!! Tippit's a great guy!! You won't ever go wrong dealing with him. I've shared a bear camp with him and spent some time with him at the PBS gathering in Cincinnati.
Here here! To "new" bows lol!
Enjoy it Mike.
I suspect Jeff is already down south by the time he reads this...
I've been all about buying and selling for the last 10 years....that's how long it took me to figure out what works for me...!! I think the used bow route, especially on Tradgang is the best way to figure out what works for you.
Javaman Elkheart and Toelke Chinook are the two bows that I've been the most impressed with and fit my style of shooting.
Once you've got to this point... then it's time to get with the bowyer and get exactly what works for you...!!
It is a lot of fun getting to that point...!!!
Thank you everyone... Right on target Guss!

This is how it started, (http://i.imgur.com/YJvZThC.jpg)
It's sort of like gambling without the losing part. rat'
I have planned on getting down to two bows for the last two years, dosent seem to be going to well for me.I have a friend of my sons i havent seen in a long time, only lives about 25 miles from me, Ken,from Whippenstik bows, needless to say i have a new Hellfire due in a month or so, it just never ends.Lol
My friends tell me I was perfectly sane until I bought my first used bow, but soon after became a hopeless addict for which there seems to be no cure.
But that hasn't stop my wife from trying.
Ya all got any bows for sales?
