Title: Old Shakespeare ?
Post by: Matt Fowler on December 23, 2014, 08:24:00 AM
Been playin' around with a Mancos recurve from the 70s I beleive. Put a new sting on about a month ago and just noticed a few strands cut from the string grooves at each end. The string groove design doesn't look that bad but I guess it could be smoother or more rounded. Just wondering if anyone familiar with this bow might have had this problem. Could probably take a file to it but don't want to mess up the tips. Comments or suggestions?

Suggest you work on them with fine sandpaper rolled into a small tube or wrapped around a very small diameter Dowell.  Keep it under the size of the string nocks.
