I'm not one for all that New Years resolution stuff but, I am going to set myself a goal for the upcoming year. I will spend one year with only one bow! Get so familiar with it that we become best friends. I threatened to sleep with the riser the other night but, the boss gave me those eyes that said, "It's me or the riser!" The couch didn't look that comfortable! :biglaugh:
Love that color!!!
Wish you the best of luck, TW!
I am a one bow guy. While I do have a couple bows I shoot at 3D shoots (recurve and selfbow), I only practice and do 99% of my hunting with one longbow!

Well, along with only shooting the one bow, I'm going to focus on studying some areas and hopefully break this loosing streak I'm on. I'm also hoping to find me a hunting mentor that can help with understanding my time in the woods and the ways of the blacktail.
Yep Im the same way as well. I basically have 2 identical longbows and alternate each one each year. so i shoot one for the whole year then next year use the other one the whole year.
Never was good at mixing longbows and recurves in the same season and dont shoot as well that way.
good luck and have fun with that new bow.
I like that grip! I think I have one like it (LH) on my Trad-Tech.
I have a good friend who kind of started down the same path with his Hoyt Buffalo...that lasted until his Bear Takedown showed up...I would have had one of those risers long ago but I draw 30 plus inches and a 13 inch riser is a little short for me...I hope you understand that one of your first orders of business is finding and tuning some Autumn Orange Eastons

Bet you cannot stick to just one set of limbs (which kind of defeats the purpose of an ILF riser anyway)

Good luck with your goal, I have too many bows to try it. 30 arrows or less with most bows and I am good to go.

I will have a primary set and a back up set. The main thing is the riser fits my hand pretty good and with long limbs I have a 58" bow. That will come in handy with some of the areas I hunt in.
Good luck........LOL!
Thanks Ron! I know you are aware of my somewhat colored past concerning the amount of bows I've gone through but, I really think I can do this if I put my mind to it. :D
Lofty resolution!
The old Easton autumn orange shafts would look great with that riser
Wannabe, where did you pick up your riser? I looked on VPA's website and couldn't find were you can order from them.
I know I wouldn't have a prayer! I'm sure I'll pick up something in the next 12 mo.
I have one of those I turned into a bow .fishing rig with longbow limbs
KyRidgeRunner: I sent you a PM.
Anyone have some Autumn Orange shafts they'd like to get rid of spined for 45#'s? I know these aren't made anymore and the chances are slim but, never know 'til you try. :)
Good luck Wannabe! I'm rooting for kill in 2015!

Thanks Griff, you and me both! :D Don't rightly know what I'm doing wrong but, it ain't for lack of trying!
