Title: The allure of a all wood bow and my first harvest
Post by: twitchstick on December 18, 2014, 11:27:00 PM: with a hickory back hickory "HBH" board bow I just finished making. I have been tinkering with making a few all wood bows over the last few years. I haven't had much time to put into it but I finally made one that's a shooter. It shoots where I look with the quite whisper only a all wood bow and arrow combo could only have. I think I could get into them a lot. There are already more bows being planned in the near future. I have been shooting it for about a month and it has been an absolute pleasure to shoot. It tuned up easy and the arrows fly with authority. I was fortunate to get a chance yesterday on a late season doe and was able to take some winter meat home.
