Hello Gang!
Blaine here from NW Illinois. I'm 28 years young and work as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for a corporate flight department that makes green tractors with a deer on the front
I grew up hunting with a gun for rabbit, pheasant, quail, and the infamous whitetail. It was not until high-school when I decided to try archery. My father purchased me a compound bow for christmas and I was hooked with the first shot. Since then, I have purchased a Jim Taylor longbow from a friend of mine. With that being said, the old compound bow has not been out of the case for 4+ years! I really enjoy shooting traditional archery. A couple years ago I joined an archery club in SW Iowa. I learned quite a bit from the trad guys there. Shoot a few 3D outings and spend most of my time just enjoying nature and shooting targets. I have yet to harvest an animal with my longbow, but have high hopes for 2015
Anyway, I've been looking for a good forum, other than AT.com to get honest, respectful, and quality reviews and tip/hints. Did not take long to see why tradgang is special!
Hope to learn a lot and someday become a contributor to the forum!
Take Care!

Welcome!
Also, if anyone has information about the bow in the photos - please let me know. My friend knew nothing about it. Brace Height, wood, etc. Thank You in advance.
Welcome glad to have you on board. Fairly new myself compared to a lot of these fellows. So glad I joined. Good luck, the TG family is awesome.
Welcome to the gang!

Welcome, hope you enjoy your time with us.
Funny how the guys with the green tractor have divested themselves.
I've been here since the beginning. You won't find a nicer, friendlier, more generous and knowledgeable bunch of traditional bowhunters anywhere... and you can take that to the bank.
Welcome to the campfire.

Another big welcome from PA!
Howdy from Texas. I see you are from around Moline?
It appears that you are already exhibiting symptoms of a very serious disease. I don't know of any cure either. The good thing is that it is very enjoyable and healthy. Have fun.
Welcome, you may want to do a search on Jimmy Taylor will pull up a few threads that may tell you more about your bow. Just make sure when you use it to search pow wow or it will search all forums. Terry Green has a thread that will come up with a picture of a riser that writing is the same. Jimmy Taylor passed a couple years ago but there is some info. on him as he was known by many it would seem.
Welcome

Yes. I actually live in a neighboring town to Moline. Must know a thing or two about green tractors and where they come from?
I have been to Moline! My wife has family from Monmouth and we have been up there several times!
