After finishing another unsuccessful season I was thinking about my last day out. I lost a deer but I got great support from folks on here. Then I thought about that hunt.......I used a bow that I got from the classifieds, coat and bibs also. I have a fanny pack strapped to my Waldrop Pac-Seat That I also got on here. Also the 2016 shafts and feathers and the broad heads from a trade with another member. It's funny how you can connect with folks you have never met or maybe never will. Now time to start getting ready for next year.......... :notworthy:

This site is definitely unlike any other site! The type of people here are fantastic! I'm done deer hunting this year as well and looking forward to spring turkey and flinging glass at fish!!!

We may not have a secret handshake or 30 some levels of order but we have a common, eccentric, love of traditional bowhunting and a bond in the respect we show game and each other.
No one that's not a hunter can understand the respect the hunter has for the hunted. And we all recognize that in kindred souls . . . even if they use carbon shafts instead of wood. :biglaugh:

Now the stumps will take a beating in preparation for next year.......maybe I'll look at the classifieds first.........

Ron, you have been getting closer every year!
No Doubt Trad gang is full of great people!
I feel sorry for those stumps!

You need to come down here to nj, where we have deer in almost every back yard, well maybe not every back yard but close to it.
I might go winter bow hunting up in Stokes forest next month, I guess I'll get a taste of what you guys go through up there in the big woods.

Ron ... I had very similar thoughts while sitting in my tree stand this late season. The majority of my gear had a Trad Gang connection. Some I bought in the classifieds, some came from my favorite event of the year .. the St Judes auction :jumper: :jumper: , some I purchased from sponsors and some I purchased after reading recommendations here from fellow Trad Gangers and a few items were gifts from Trad Gangers I have had the pleasure of hunting with ... I didn't use any of that gear to kill a Washington whitetail this year but I sure scared a few, no shots fired but like Ron I'll be after them next year.
Trad Gang has truly been a treasure for me since I retired and I look forward to many more years spending time here and meeting more new friends.
