Well, I'll be hunting a spot with some pretty good deer in it. Its pretty much open hard woods, although there are some really nice blow downs from hurricane Sandy. There's not a lot of cover left in the trees so I'm figuring on getting in a blow down that's on a small ridge that over looks a nice little gully. In side the gully there are blow downs that run lengthwise. The deer will either travel on my side of the blow downs or the other.
I took my bow quiver off my bow and loaded my arrows in my catquiver. I've done a bit of ground hunting before, but I'm still more comfortable in a tree.
Good luck! It's always fun hunting from the ground. I also feel more comfortable in a tree, but it's exciting to come down once in awhile.

Best of luck to ya! I've had more close encounters this year on than the ground than all of the last 2 years combined in the trees. I really enjoy not having to look for the "perfect" tree.
