So I am looking at a pair of Schnees 10" Guide TT boots. I normally take a size 10/1/2. Since they do to come in half sizes would you go with a 11 or 10. Wondering they normally run small or large.
Have you called Schnees and asked them? I have a pair of Schees pac boots and love them. Bought them to my size - 10.
I think I bought mine 1 size bigger to allow for heavy socks.
I bought mine a size larger too.
I have the Hunter II pacs in my normal size and they are good even with heavy socks.
I guess I would be safer going up a size. I do need to get it right since shipping sending boots back came be an expensive proposition.
If you are using them above 20 grees get normal size. If you are using them colder than that get the bigger size and also the Twotracks wool insole and it will add approx 15-20 degrees of comfort.
If you're a 10 1/2, I'd get the 11 and heavy sox and the above mentioned insoles will be all good.
10 would actually be too small.
Same boat as you, Schnee's customer service said go up half a size. I have had two pair in size 11, they have been perfect.
