Well I finally got the new Slammer.  I was going to buy this exact bow at the Baltimore Bowman's shoot but my buddy wanted it more than me so I just did the order thing.  My first new bow purchase.  Took the day off and visited Leon's shop to see where it is all done.  Also had a new grip installed on another LB I have.
Stopped by the Archery Club on the way home an she shoots as well as she looks.

Sweet Love my Slammer 64 50#@29". Enjoy.

They are great bows, you'll enjoy it a lot ! I have a 3 pc that is my go to bow.
Best of luck with it.

They are about the best shooting classicly styled reflex longbow there is IMHO.  I have always used Stewarts and Centaurs as a benchmark to judge other longbows.  Enjoy that beauty!

I bought one of his bow's in the mid 90's. Long bow 65# @ 28. I can't pull the # anymore. But it was and still is one of the best long bow's i own. When i could shoot it , it was my best bow. He is a great guy to deal with, and makes a very high quality bow.  Mine was not a r/d bow , but still there was no hand shock with her.Good luck.

I ordered one from Leon a few yrs ago and also went to shop to pick up my baby. LOVED IT and got a 6pter this yr. made with PA.  Yew etc. congrats, you made a great choice. That bow just jumps off the screen, soooo sweet, I assume back is yew...

Brazilian  Rosewood Riser, bamboo cores and Yew fronts and Back.  66" 45@28

Great bows,  I find them easy to hit what you want.  I have several.

				Beautiful bow...congrats!!

				Pretty tree too!
                           Good Shooting,
                                            Craig

I'm glad you added the woods info - that looks NICE, even if the shelf is on the wrong side !     :D
I hadn't heard of
Bavarian Rosewood before, but I did Google it.

There's a big buck hiding behind your tree!!!

I meander coyly among the vendors but am really making my way to Leon's booth at the Baltimore shoot. I have bought 2 Slammers and a Short Slammer there. Solid, stable bows with fine attention to fit and finish.
Killdeer~ fellow fan of old school quality!

Those boo cores look like Yew! Love'em! I have an LS Longbow with Birdseye Maple cores, Brazilian Rosewood riser, Curly Teak limb backs and Yew belly lams. Just beautiful!

Beautiful bow and that is a fine buck behind the Christmas tree also.

Stand corrected should have read "Brazilian Rosewood".

Beauty Tony. Another one I'll have to shoot in May.

More than welcome to give it a try Red.  You going to Georgia  with us to stick a few pigs?

				Awesome looking stick!
