Title: The hardest part is the wait.....
Post by: Riverrat43 on December 09, 2014, 09:31:00 AM
I called Lynn Harrelson of Harrelson bows last night. Looks like I'll be headed to his place Friday to select wood and get all measured up for draw length etc. I'll put a deposit down on a single piece recurve about 45# @ 29 inches. Excited.

Mike,
He does but I didn't see him listed as a sponsor so I didn't include a link.  Google will get you to his page, a search here will pull up some threads.  He hasn't updated in a long time and some things have changed. He says he isn't making many bows now days, he wants to slow down. I've known him for a long time, owned one of his bows before. Looking forward to getting another. Hunting season is in here and he won't even start on it till Feb when season goes out lol. He's a super nice guy, builds and incredible bow and would probably take an order for a 2015 bow.

Went to Lynn's house today and picked out wood. It will be Cocobolo and Bocote for the riser, figured Bocote for the limbs with the back of the limbs Bamboo. It will have moose antler tips and moose antler accents on the rear of the riser. Should look nice. While there I got tto shoot Lynn's personal bow. Its  pretty much like the bow I ordered except his was 60",48# @ 27 inches. I was drawing it to 29 inches with no problem. It was oh so smooth and had zero handshock. The FF string really zipped the carbons along. I shot way better with it than with my Samick. Trust me, there is a huge difference in Samicks and custom bows. Funny, a friend has a Samick Sage with 50# limbs and I can barely get it to the anchor point. Lynn said I was drawing his to about 51-53 to day. No problem at all. Quite a difference. Mine is going to be 48# to 51# @ 29..which ever he hits. I'm gonna be a happy camper about April. Meanwhile I'll keep practicing with the Samick. Pictures when I get it.

Lynn builds a nice solid bow.  I had one and it was easy to shoot well. I have always read compliments about him.  Enjoy!

Love Mr. Lynn's bows.  I own a couple of them.
He is one heck of a good man and friend.
You'll love his bows.

I have a Kolomi by Lynn and really like it a lot. It is wood laminated (bamboo back and belly over persimmon core). It has no glass, so it can be used in primitive class at 3D if I want to.

Also, he is a very nice guy and easy to do business with. Not only that, he is a loyal Auburn War Eagle!

KirkII..I ordered his 60 inch single piece.
Sam...WDE Brother! Would you believe I'm sitting up here in Tuscaloosa at an OSHA Trainer course? Of all the places they could have sent me! Hope I don't get a rash or catch anything from being here.
