I have a Schafer 1 piece on order, and would like to hear some feedback on this bow.
Thanks a bunch!
In the same boat, ordered in August and think about it every day. I have never owned one but Bill Webster (maxwell) thinks highly of them and there was a thread on here about the "tips" and it got me fired up...
That makes 3 of us. Another 4-5 months for me.

4. Mine is due in March. I later became aware of the double carbon option, and added that. I'm not sure that was available at the time I placed my original, order.
Great bow I have owned mine for many years, charcoal diamond wood riser, camo limb, checked grip,58" bow,57#@26".Bow is very smooth and fast,1 set of Wooley whisper string silencers is all that is needed, shoot off the shelf, brace height 7 1/4.Loves heavy 600 grain arrows.Good shooting to you all,it's worth the wait.
My bros 1pc I designed is due next month. After talking to Dave and Beth, no double carbon.
I just mailed my 1pc to get refinished. Its a 58" 55@28 I think. Not sure if its marked correctly.
Mine is due in April, maybe this will be my last bow?
:biglaugh:
1 pc 'Tip is on my bucket list.
The assumption is often made that a one piece Silvertip is a recurve...the truth is Dave makes some great longbows...I had a 62 inch one that he no longer makes that was as good as any of the forty or so bows i have owned...if I were you I would at least ask him about doing a longbow with some carbon...my understanding is that carbon works better with longbows...I believe ordering one without his amazing checkering would be a mistake

I had a beautiful 64" one piece LB 51#@28, checkered grip, moose horn tips. OK who out there bought it? I want it back!! :archer:

This 1 piece I didn't like at first because it is so light . Now that I have shot it for A YEAR I love it !
Jack yours is a beauty. A one piece is next one my list.
Stunning bow Jack.
Jack,
What's the story of the items in the 3rd pic that includes the pic with Paul?
Thanks
Kyle
Beth at Schafer took that picture for their web page . I just got a copy from her , I think it is on the work bench . Pretty cool I thought . Beth listened to what I wanted and worked with me to select the woods . She did an awesome job IMO .

I have a Silvertip TD that is 58@28 and a one piece Silvertip that is 54@28. The interesting thing is that the one piece is a quicker bow. I like to shoot Beman MFX arrows and the 500 shafts tuned to the TD are too weak and the 400 shafts tuned perfectly for the one piece. Has anyone else noticed a performance improvement with the one piece? I might add that the one piece is an easier and smoother drawing bow than the TD model.
I need one...
I love the 2 I have! IMO it's the best grip out there,(checkered of course) and with a strap on quiver and arrows it is the absolute perfect weight!!
