Title: Tenbrook boo/ipe kit
Post by: fling on November 29, 2014, 01:45:00 PM
would like to make a bow, and was thinking a bamboo Ipe kit from Tenbrook would be the best way to start off. something I've wanted to do for a long time. Would love to see pics from those who have made a bow from A Tenbrook kit, or any homemade bamboo backed bow. thanks Jon

I used a piece of Cody's ipe, but I backed it with hickory instead.  Great results.  Killed this doe with the bow I made, and a stone point.  I highly recommend Tenbrook's ipe

Hi Jon.  Glad your considering one of my kits.  Please let me know if there are any questions I can answer.

Here is a great BBI build along that might help answer some of them:  http://poorfolkbows.com/ipe1.htm

Thanks tenbrook, my goal is to make a bow and shoot it next April at the Chamberlin Ranch trad shoot.
