are any of you guys running carbons through your widows?
As I posted earlier relative to arrow rest on a widow, I have been shooting longbow for quite awhile, and always made my own arrows. I am getting a rather erratic flight using the widow/wood arrow combo. The poundage of my longbow and the widow are very close to each other, but flight characteristics are dramatically different.
Thought I would by some carbon shafting just to get things going in the right direction with the new widow.

What weight, and draw is your widows
-
#55, 29 inches.

Gold Tip 55/75 and Carbon Express 250 should work fine. I have experience with both shooting Widows at that weight.

I'm shooting GT 55/75s at 53# from the bow in my signature below. Shoot great with 125-200 grain heads and 100 grain brass inserts. 29" arrows.

Thanks guys.
Gold tips it is.
On my way down to the archery shop as we speak.

I shoot similar 55# at 30.5" draw. Got caught between GT 5575 and 7595. Found Heritage 350s to have the better spine. Perfect bareshaft with 270 up front.

I have a 52# PSAX 28" draw. I shoot GT 5575 cut to 29.5" 125 grain heads, standard insert with a 20 grain weight on the insert and a standard nock

51# @ 28" on my widow, I can shoot either 3555 or 5575 GT out of mine.
