Title: New Bow Tiller ?
Post by: fmscan on November 20, 2014, 08:07:00 AM
Folks, I have a Tip(one piece recurve) on order and I have switched between 3 under and split finger over the yrs. Should I have the Tip made for 3 finger under or split? Does it make much difference in how the bow in made? With my longbow it seems I shoot with the same incompetence regardless of which method I use.

If you know you're going to switch back and forth I would have it tillered zero/ even/ threeunder.  That's just MHO based on what I have noticed shooting different bows and playing with ILF.

On the other hand, if you might end up selling the bow down the road tillered split is the more common and might appeal to more potential buyers.  But of course, who ever orders a bow thinking they might sell it someday?   ;)

Guys,
Thank you for your input and think that split finger is the way to go. I will also talk to Dave.
