Title: Who sells 5/16 wood shafts?
Post by: britt on November 16, 2014, 11:12:00 AM
I am starting to miss my woodies. Who sells a 5/16 wood shaft. My longbow is 45# at 30in draw length.

Rose City Archery offers great Port Orford Cedar shafting in 5/16,  11/32 and 23/64. They have been in business since the 30's.

The problem is spine. I used to be able to get 45-50# spine in 5/16, but now all I can find it in is 11/32.  If you want 40-45# or lower, it shouldn't be a problem.  Some people have told me that 45-50# spine might be available occasionally in 5/16, but I get the idea that some people who probably buy a lot more shafts than I do have first dibs on it.
