I have shot just about everythig out there, but never a Scout. I love a real forward handle and I have a Scout coming. It is coming from Denmark, so it will be a while. What ya'all think. 58"er and going up a bit in weight 56#s since my shoulder is healing nicely. Pics. are welcome too! Shawn
TTT, before the booze takes effect!! Shawn
HI Shawn,
I was blessed to be able to buy one of Ron's personal Scout Recurves last year. This will be my first chance to hunt hair instead of the foam I have been hunting all spring and summer with it. It is 58" 55lb @ 28. I plan on driving some Treesharks and WW thru some ribcages soon !!! I just put a Eagles Flight 4 arrow quiver on it and now I am even more in love with it ! And the whole time I thought I was cursed by being a lefty, haha !!! As you know Ron is a lefty too. I will treasure and hunt with this bow Good Lord willing for the next 30 years or so, and then pass it to another lefty. Love them Shrews !

Nice, give me some mooe1 AShawn
So when ya wanna practice on tree rats? Sounds cool, cant wait to see it.
Shawn, the Scout is one of my favorties for sure. Here's a 60", 49# at 27", antler backing on riser and antler tips (ebony and osage).
You are going to love it!

I thought they came in 58 and 60" only. I would like a 56"er for sure! I hope to have it for my vacation the first two weeks in Nov. Shawn
I'm pretty sure those are 54".
The Lil' Favorite is the 54" version. Shawn
Are they a static tip? They look like it. Shawn
I have had problems shooting light mass weight bows in the past,(Heck I barly pass off acceptable shooting with a heavy 3-piece) but sure do like how a trim little one piece recurve looks.
The Shrew Scout and Little favorite are two off the beast looking bows I have ever seen. Maybe one day!
I'll enjoy reading your posts on it Shawn!
Most of the bucks I see, I tend to say the horns are bigger too  Sorry they are 54"...Doc
Wow, some gorgeous bows. Doc, tha lower one....beautiful.
Shawn, I fully expect ya to bring that if ya hunt over here this year! :D
I have a Shrew Lil' Favorite and I hope to order a Scout someday. They are one of the best light weight recurves around.
Heres mine. It is an absolutely beautiful bow, that I will never get rid of. It killed the first 3 deer I drew on the year I got it. It's been signed by Ron LaClair, Fred Asbell, and Glenn St Charles.
Since I got my Lil Favorite this spring, it has kind of been "retired", just becuase the LF shoots so perfect.
