While Will Shakespeare coined the phrase, it still rings true today. Veterans, from whichever service, have a bond that only a small percentage of the population can claim. Whether you served in combat or wore the uniform in peacetime, you are in an elite segment of citizens who answered your country's call. Interservice rivalries just add to the bond that we share, so I say thanks to you Jarheads, Squids, Coasties, and Air Farce folks from an old Army vet.
"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers" Thank all vets for serving, and remember that Veteran's Day is much more than some sale at the mall.
Back at you.

Is because we know how damn lucky we are to be alive and
Know the sacrifices each other has made.
Let's especially remember our fallen Warriors, our Brothers

Country.

Been thinking about my Dad, who is gone now, my son, his wife, and my brother, all who served. Also the many others who have fallen and are still with us. I am so grateful for your service and sacrifice.

People kept coming to me to say thanks and bypassing my wife. I know they didn't mean to overlook her it is just folks generally think of men serving. So here is to all the men and women that have worn the uniform.
GOD bless you all

I thank God for you, and pray for your safety, and peace everyday. So today, let me send a BIG THANK YOU out to all of the service men and women of this great country!!!
To my US brothers in arms, enjoy your V day guys...
And to all the lads who never made it home, rest easy now in the halls of Valhalla as your family are now ours...we take care of our own.
Not a day passes where I don't reflect on my time 'walking the light green' with longarm in hand or dusting the sand out of it when in the Middle East. It made me the man I am today...
Al, thank God for our allies. You Aussies were some of the very few that answered when we were involved in that little tussle in SE Asia, and I have always remembered that. Thanks!

I can't say enough for you and your Kiwi step-brothers in arms.
I was privileged with a trip to Canberra to see the Wall of Honor, the tomb of the Unknown, and your beautiful capital.
I hope today was as peaceful and enjoyed as much as mine. To all my brothers and sisters in arms may tomorrow bring you fair winds and following seas. May the friends and family who served and gone ahead rest easy. Happy Veterans Day.
